How Mylone Tablet works in the body

This medicine is a combination of three medicines: Metronidazole, Diloxanide and Polydimethyl Siloxane. Metronidazole is an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging their DNA. Diloxanide is a luminal amoebicide which acts inside the intestines to kill the infection-causing microorganisms (amoeba). It is added in case of severe intestinal infections. Polydimethyl Siloxane is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.
